It is always good to have a visit from Trade Unions, but it is extra good when your own union visit as they did yesterday. What a great day for all of us at YDWC because the 'Yorkshire Regional Committee' visited us yesterday, the people who came along and especially the Regional Secretary Neil Derrick were very friendly and supportive. All took the time to talk to our staff and ask us how we were doing. We were able to show our handmade wooden products, and give them a tour around, they were really impressed with our variety of Chopping boards, Cheese boards,Oak baskets, and how our skill base has increased. The moral of our workers was lifted by the visit and Neil made them feel part of the GMB and we would like to thank him for that and their visit and wish the Regional Committee well for the future.
